Death

Only Beethoven is written on his gravestone because everyone knew who he was.
Between 10,000 and 30,000 people gathered for his funeral.

Napoleon

Mom has been very busy with packing this week so I have had to do more on my own. She would always draw pencil lines for me - but now I can do that myself.

Things that made him sad

This mini book is about the things that made Beethoven sad.
Mom showed me how to make one circle using a compass and I did the rest. I also learnt that you get a compass that you use to show you directions and then one that you use to draw circles with.

Map

Because Mom is quite busy with packing this week I am having to do more of the mini books on my own. While I was rubbing my pencil lines out a crumpled the paper a tiny bit. I got such a shock when Mom looked at it, said "that's a good idea" and crumpled the whole thing into a ball. I was so confused. But then when she opened it up and said "look, it will go with the idea we have of decorating the lapbook in a messy way". So now I think it looks great. Beethoven was quite messy, so there is a specific reason it looks like this.
Some information on where he lived.
The map with Germany and Austria marked.

Beethoven started

My next unit study is on Beethoven. We have had books, an audio book, a DVD and a CD on him for a few weeks now and we have now started working on the mini books for a lapbook.
